Usually when the O/D light flashes and gives a weird shift/jerk, it's either the tach sensor, or speed sensor. Could be many other things, but those are the 2 most common.

Check your transmission fluid, If it feels tacky, REPLACE THE FLUID, or if it smells burnt and is dark in color, it should never be sticky/tacky, I would replace it as soon as possible

I can't remember, but can you " jump " the two diagnostic ports like on GM OBD II systems to get codes to blink at you?

Default OD Light

Also check the gear oil in the rear Differential...I had the same thing happen so I DC the battery to reset it and it would act fine for about 20 min then light comes on...truck starts fish biting....I finally checked the gear oil and it was 1 + qt low...filled it up and it stopped. !

can you check for line pressure and when was the last time you had the pan off and did the filter replacment and service to the trans ..... band adjustmets could be off and trans is warning you of a issue ..

low line pressure would be a place to start....

Found out it was the TPS sensor. It was really corroted and dirty, cleaned it and it stopped blinking, but I replaced the sensor anyways and it runs again. And now at least I know what can cause my o/d to blink. Thanks guys.

Is there a website where I can purchase a Fill Tube for my 97 turbo E4OD Trans?
Ford does not stock the part anymore, am I off to Pick a Part for this one?
I still have the tube and its not leaking but I cannot find a bracket to stabilize it up top...its zip tied for now.
