Trying to put a tach in my 1983 6.9L IDI. It did not come with a factor tach. Has anyone ever used one of these kits?

Can you use a factory sensor for the aftermarket tachometer? Your motor has a place to mount the sensor, and you can get the sensor from a dealership and just thread it into the IP gear cover. The sensor usually costs about $80 from the dealer.
