Default 03 Duramax: one cylinder seems to hit hard and smoke
Hi i have an 03 duramax that is all stock except a straight pipe. Driving down the road today it started smoking quite a bit and sounded like one cylinder was getting overfueled. Any ideas on what test? Its not throwing a code either.

From some of the reading I have done I'm thinking it could be a stuck injector? I don't have a way of confirming it tho?

Crank and let run turn it off and pull glowplugs. The wet one will be the injector to replace.

check contributions with a scan tool.

If you pull the injector we can test it on our common rail bench.
