Fuel adjustment

I though I've heard it would make you smoke by adding fuel, but wouldn't add power like adjusting the other screw through the window on the side. But wouldn't adding fuel no matter how, increase power, in a diesel that's pretty much all you need is fuel and air, right?
I was a little curious about another trick I heard of on FB. Some old truckers were talking about how they used to get a little more power out of their big rigs by putting vice grips on their fuel return lines. But had to make sure it wasn't too tight otherwise the engine wouldn't come back down to idle very well. I though "damn that be some back woods *** way to getting more power". One feller said he'd done it and had some real dark coal rolling out.

I don't know about the vice grips one, but I am going to try the other bolt adjustment. Just a bit leery since I don't have a pyro yet. Figure I could use it like my '03, as long as I don't use it too much or long I should be ok.

Its Bound to be true ... when you choke off the return line you end up with more residual pressure @ return lines and more left in the injection lines ... more pressure means more pressure @ injector and probably a better spray pattern ... on my Cummins we change the orfice sizes on out return lines and they run much better like that ....
