Default Using a gas tank with diesel?

Would there be any reason not to use a car's gas tank with diesel fuel? I realize diesel and gas are similar in that they are both petroleum products, but I'm not too sure if there is anyway that diesel tanks would differ from a gas tank. I plan to do a gas to diesel swap and don't want to make any hasty mistake. This seems like one of those things that would be obvious but I've been wrong before.

Also, hello I'm new here.

I plan to stick around for a while if I can get my swap moving in the right direction. Still in the process of information and part gathering.

Yes you can use a gas tank for diesel, no worries at all, that's what we all do. And Welcome, let us know what kind of swap you're planning.
