Hello just recently purchased a 98 12v 215pump 5spd
Recently had a mild miss/surge/pop and a white smoke issue
Just Replaced 300hp injectors, fuel/air filters inspected ofv spring
checked for boost and fuel
Leaks. 34pounds of boost @ WOT Truck runnin still has strong pull just surges bad
With black then poping white smoke If you quick rev it's very noticeable
Low slow rev not hardly anything? Don't know the fuel pressure which I'll get a
Gauge for that next. Anyways looking at timing now, anybody know of timing prices
And diesel preformance shops in Co by chance? Comments appreciated

Mine did the same thing. Advancing the timing fixed it. Cost me $100 dollars to do that and move my fuel plate forward.

 

I would say the timing slipped. But if it started with an injector swap start there. Are they assembled right?

 

Change you fuel filters .... and check your pre-screen ( attached to lower part of the manual llift pump - clean it out ) sounds like lack of fuel pressure
