I've spent the last few hours searching here, google, and a few other cummins forums. I need a straight answer.

Ive got an 09 Ram with a 6.7. 3rd gen body style.
I received my aurora 5k kit today. 2 piece T4 manifold, all the inter cooler piping, coolant plugs, and other goodies I had ordered the required down pipe that all the ad's say i need. I never received it, I've already dispatched an Email to the company i ordered the kit from. Do i need the down pipe? The kit came with an elbow that looks like my stock cast elbow going to my down pipe.

So plain and simple before i pull my hair out. Do i need an aftermarket downpipe using the cast elbow supplied with the a5k kit? Or will my stock pipe work?

 

I would contact ATS about that one.. which manifold did you get? if the manifold sets the turbo in the middle, you probably are going to need a different down pipe, if the manifold sets the turbo near cyl 5 and 6, you might get by with the stock downpipe.. with out actually seeing what you have its hard to tell ya what you are going to need.. sorry
