Default I want more smoke

I no smoke doesn't mean power. I have a 97 cummins with auto trans. The guy I bought it from says it has a factory rebuild and they did something different with clutch. It also has 150hp injectors. I also took silencer ring out of turbo. And turned star wheel up a little bit. My truck is plenty fast enough for me and has plenty of towing power. I want more smoke. I am getting very very very little amounts of smoke. I know that means its tuned well but I want to roll coal can I get some advise and I don't wanna burn my truck up either. I have my gauges how hot can i go. I appreciate any help. SMOKE

throw the spare tire in the truck bed and set it on fire.

perhaps a wood stove in the truck bed and burn some fresh green branches...

or just buy a pack of cigarettes and smoke like a chimney?

delete the turbo....

plastic bag over the air filter...

To smoke you need more fuel & less air, but keep an eye on your E G T

EGTs are like sticking your hand in the oven: you can stick it in for a couple seconds and not get burnt, but the longer you spend at 1400* and beyond you will start to tear some things up. The melting point of aluminum pistons is 1600*.

If you like smoke do it and enjoy it! Everyone knows there are people that do not like smoke. I do not like smoke because of attention. I do not put decals on my windows. My truck is deleted, leveling kit,add a leaf and Nitto Trrra Grappler 305/70/17.
I get so tired of small minded people that give a stupid answer to a question. Just do not answer the post.
This has me so let down by people or members of this forum. Try to help people with ther Dodge questions. Try to make friends out there. I have met people in Va.,De and Florida.

Aluminum melts at about 1220* look it up

when overly fueled you will have smoke. with 150HP injectors and an hx35 how can you NOT smoke at WOT. It is doubtful that you have 150HP injectors if your pump is tuned up.

Yes factory rebuilds are good. And many people have trailered in the mountains at 1200* for many miles without problems. A little hot for me, but if you are moving the air in and out quickly no damage will be done. 1200* is a perfectly safe temperature.

you turned the starwheel up, have 150 sticks and a factory turbo? if it doesnt smoke like a freight train, your egt's should be threw the roof atleast.
