97 powerstroke exaust

Default 97 powerstroke exaust

hi i just bought a 97 f350 powerstroke,i noticed that the exaust leakes on both sides between the manifold and the up pipes.Can i use a exaust doughnut and change the studs that fasten them,up pipes look good thx

whats another option for up pipes if not thx

I am pretty pleased with the Diamondeye exhaust products I have found...you may want the check out their items if you have to replace something. Still mandrel bends and stainless but not quite as pricey as the big guys...

No need to change up pipes. Just swap out the gaskets.

i dont think the turbo side is leaking,is there is gaskets on the manifold side too,thats where its leaking thx

If its from the engine to the manifold then you have to pull the manifold and put a new gasket in there

the leak is between the manifold and up pipe at the connection between the 2 is there a doughnut gasket in there

one more thing when the truck is cold it souds like air spraying loud,havent had someone around to help,but the leak on both sides is bad is it possible when the wastegate open its sucking air in thru the leak,seems to be power loss too,weird def sounds like its coming from the gaskets from inside the truck

The obs never came with a wastegate. That sound you are hearing is the EBPV. If it shuts off after it warms up a little or you start driving it, thats normal

this sound isnt normal it has to have something to do with the leak,my boos has the same truck and it doesnt do this,its a loud air noise not normal
