Default P0088 code

I am getting this P0088 code every few days that states "Fuel Rail/System Pressure--Too High."
On the older model Duramax's a few people changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator and this took care of the problem.
What needs to be done to correct this problem?

Most times I've seen p0088 its been with a P0191. Usually the cause for that is rubbed wires behind the A/C compressor grounding out onto the A/C compressor. However if the condition keeps returning and its only p0088 and its doing it while your sitting at idle then it will be the number 2 fuel pressure regulator.
