Default Gauges????

New to diesels and to D-Max. Just bought an 01 that I want to last a long time. I will be using it to pull a 30 foot 5th wheel. We live in Colorado Springs so will be going up some mountain passes. I just installed a Van Aaken Smartbox E and now I am thinking that I should probably install some gauges to make sure I am not overworking the engine and tranny (allison).

What gauges should I invest in? Is a Pirometer the same as a boost gauge? How about the EGT gauge, is that something I should consider?

pirometer is egt gauge just a fancy name i would put a EGT boost and a trans temp if it dosnt have one, to get a long life out of it i would do a lift pump AirDog FASS ect and i would put an adapter on the filter head to use a better filter like a cat filter dirty diesel is an LB7's worst issue. im noooo expert at all in this just my thoughts
