Default Ram DRW 4:10/high output owners?

First post: Let me start off by saying I don't have any brand loyalties. I've had chevy's, and Fords...they have all done what I needed them to.

Currently I have a Ford F350, XLT, short bed. I love it. By far my favorite truck I have had to date. Unfortunate I'm running into an unforeseen oversight that somehow escaped me when I bought it. This is the "10k GVWR package" required for certain states DOT laws. It essentially turns a 11.5k 1 ton in into a 10k 3/4 ton on paper alone. Call me an idiot, but we all know what happens when one assumes things. Lesson learned. This screws me for towing most anything I have. Me, my dog, a tank of fuel and a 5th wheel hitch and I'm close to overweight before adding the king pin weight..."legally." Not a big deal, until you wreck pulling your trailer and kill somebody with good lawyers.

Long story short, I have a relatively painless deal on a trade for a 2013 Ram tradesman, dually, 4.10s, 5th wheel prep, plow prep, and the high output tranny. I'm aware of the drawbacks as a multi purpose vehicle, as I've had DRW in the past, but it's a lot more truck for only slighly less money. Also I can pull my 40' 5th wheel with relative fearlessness where ever I need to take it. Plus I'm a mason on the side and can haul two pallets of bricks in the bed....not bad.

Any one with the same truck have any thoughts/insight? Again, I don't care about brand loyalty. The big 3 are all pretty capable trucks these days.

Thanks
