I'm looking into doing a 4bt swap into a 1990 Chevy C1500. Like I say, I'm extremely new to diesel and I'm curious as to what type of transmission (manual preferred), adapters, driveshaft, axles, differential, suspension, etc... that would be my best options to look into getting to be able to make this possible, as well as where I might go to be able to obtain all of the parts new or used. For one-stop shopping, I'd suggest a 89-93 Dodge 2wd/5spd cummins donor truck. Should be able to get one for around $2k and sell off the 6BT.
