Ok so in going to put a fuel pressure gauge in my truck. I was wondering where the best spot is to put the pressure sensor. Is there a place in the fuel regulator?

 

Remove the shrader valve off the bowl put in a 90* fitting and get an oil filled gauge. It may not fit if you still got darth vader's helmet still on though.

 

The closer to the IP the better

 

IP? im guessing thats injection pump? which the powerstroke does not have.


put it where the schrader valve goes.

 

I was wondering what the IP was referring too as well. Little different set up than a cummins

 

He probably meant the FPR- fuel pressure regulator. The shraeder valve is right next to it and attached to the same piece.

the IPR - Injection pressure sensor is attached to the HPOP and regulates oil pressure controlling the injectors.
