Just bought this 1999 Suburban drove it a few places, parking it for a few hours in between, last place I stopped for only about an hour. Started right up, then just kicked off. Jumped the battery let it juice up for 15 minuted and made it home. Could this be just a battery issue or is there more I need to look at? Any thoughts are appreciated. I'm new with diesels but I want to learn everything. Also, battery gauge when driving home was at 14v.

 

My guess would be a bad ground

 

did it crank slowly? did you try starting it after it died?
