I run a triple disc billet torque converter from REVMAXX, 30k on it with no issues.

I just bought a 98 with the ats trans and converter.
When I put it in drive or reverse it almost kills it, drops rpm from 800 to 500 or lower. If I rev it back up to 800 it pushes thru the brakes.
I am betting the sprag, or one way clutch in the converter has failed.
Anyone seen this?

I had, years ago, a built trans by someone else and it wasn't at all like this. Truck was much better performing too.
It has little perf off of the line.
Then also when it locks up it really hammers the truck, way to harsh. I'm surprised the driveshaft or rear end hasn't left the truck.
