Building a 1980 c7000 with a 453T would like to get a little more than 175 hp . Can anyone know how to or how much you can turn these engines up?

a little bit of basics like changing the air filter and sparkplugs can make a small difference. But noticeable difference

 

You can find "high output" injectors and pistons for old 2 stroke detroits if you look around on ebay and what not. I have an old 2-71 military generator motor that I soaked another 25 or so hp out of with them. Ill look in my detroit book and see if I can find you a part number and maybe look up of you could fiddle with the timing..
