7 states taxing or considering heavy taxes on guns and ammo

So when cars or aircraft start killing people, are they going to put hefty taxes on those? Taxes on alcohol and tobacco hasn't stopped alcohol and tobacco from killing people. What rock do these people live under?

This new tax would be a third taxing on firearms. First taxing, Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax, 10-11% paid by the manufacturer, but you know as well as I it gets passed down to the consumer. Second, is sales tax for most states/cities. I certainly won't pay a third tax without a fight.
