Default 2wd RGSB Tucked Dually

So my buddy has a 94 Ram 1500 Reg Cab Short Bed and it currently has a v6 gasser in it and he has decided that he wants to do a build on it since its his secondary vehicle and ive been filling his head with the glory of cummins.

He wants to swap either a 4bt or 6bt cummins into it and swap the rear to a dually but wants to tub the bed, shorten the axle, and tuck the dually rear underneath so the edge of the outside dually wheel sits exactly where the edge of the standard axle rear wheel would sit so you cant see its a dually rear unless youre looking at it from behind and keep it sitting about 2" lower than stock... should be a fun project.

has anyone seen or heard of anything like this? ive spend the last few days searching all the diesel forums and i cant find anything

Nope and he's goona have to back half the truck but I'm guessing he knows that. Tell him to join up and make a sweet build thread about it!

his original plan was to move the springs and suspension components to inside between the frame rails and shorten the axle as much as he could without modifying the frame and then find a set of duallys or a single double wide that fits "tucked" underneath and then cut the bed and extend the wheel wells in to compensate for increased depth of the tire placement

him and i crawled underneath the truck and did some looking and measuring today and the plan is to get a dually rear axle and run a super wide single rear tire.. hes going to ditch the stock 1500 springs and go with a coilover setup inside the frame rails and we are going to cut and extend the wheel wells in so they clear and cover the wide rears. the front suspension will also be upgraded to compensate for the weight of the 6bt...

got a couple pics of the truck today
