Been a while !!! Got a line on a 77 w-series with a 360 lookin into swapping out the 96 second gen.12v. question is will the 4pseed straight shift tranny in the 77 bolt up any mods needed motor mounts stuff like that? any feedback greatly appreciated.

 

If it was my build I would use the NV4500 and 241 DHD tcase, They all belong to together no adapters needed and you have the luxury of having OD

 

Does that mean that the existing unit will not bolt up without an adapter. not sure what's in it at this point, just doin some research see what it would take. already have the cummins just sittin . the 77 the fella said he only wants $400. needs brakes and some love thanks for your help... another question: any idea what the 77 is running as far a as tcase and trans in a 1 ton pretty sure it's stock but??? thanks again.

 

Yea it won't bolt up 4spd no clue but its prob a 205 tcase which means it should have a passenger side drop so the 241 won't work but a 205 will live behind a cummins easily just don't sled pull it LOL I know they don't like that...

 

thanks It is a 4spd! I'm gonna try to get over to the truck some time this week it's up in the woods.. gonna give a look over. fella said the 360 was pretty stroung everything else was good need brakes.. I'll run the 360 till I can gather the right stiff together to do the swap.... thanks again for the feedback big help!!!
