Putting some new life in my old truck by swapping the DRW bed to a SRW. I will be picking up my new bed on the 21st and was wanting to know how heavy a SRW bed is?

I will be using my flat car trailer, does any one have experience moving or handling a truck bed?

 

what year of the drw bed are you putting in the other truck?

 

its pobably almost the same as the dually bed minus the fg bubbles me and four buddys picked up my dually bed no problems

 

My truck is a DRW '97 and the bed I am getting for the conversion is from a '99 SRW.

 

Just set it upside down on the trailer so you don't bend the bottom of it, ose a couple old blankets or cardboard to keep from scraping it up. They're not too heavy 4 guys can pick it up and set it on the truck. Too bad you're so ar away or I might be interested in your dually bed.

 

I plan on selling my dually bed to a wrecking yard or something. The fenders are good but the bed floor has rust around all the holes from various 5th wheel and other hitches installed over the years.

Buy the dually fenders and get a free bed with them!
