Default Truck Dies

Hello everyone,

so my 97 12 valve runs great, except for one thing. At low RPMs if I suddenly stop or when switching to a different gear, the truck either almost dies, or it does die. Could it be the idle screw? It has a Suncoast transmission, timing advanced to 17 degrees, 100 fuel plate, boost elbow. thanks!

Very well could be, what's your idle speed?

Could be an issue. Idle should be 700-800 in gear with the a/c on.

How do I fix this? Is it mechanically difficult/expensive?

No, it's pretty simple. Here's a link.
