Its required for correct air flow and cooling system efficiency. Would not recommend its removal.

Their not terribly expensive from ford. The last one I got was in the 200's. I've got a couple shroud parts, what do you need?

Default 6.0 Fan Shroud

I strongly diagree,I have 3 trucks in my fleet that have the fan shrouds removed with no effect on cooling efficiency, just one more "design flaw/overdesign"on the 6.0.

Sorry guys maybe I got the wrong part I am assuming the shroud you are talking about is the big plastic thingy that bolts to the front of engine behind the fan. It is gone from my storm restoration truck ( 06' F450 ) that I some times criss cross NE United States with and we are not having any overheating issues from tis truck or the the other two stake bodies that have them removed.

I'm talking the front that mounts to the radiator. In multiple cases we've had them come in the shop without the shroud and typically they run 5-10°f hotter sitting with no air flow from vehicle movement but the main customer complaint it the a/c isn't cold at idle or the fan wiring got chopped with nothing to hold it. Will the effects be huge? Probably not. But you won't catch me saying its okay to go without, been doing this to long .
