Default DDP Stage IV - 140hp sticks

Ok so... here's a story....

A friend bought a set of 90hp DDP sticks, but accidentally got served with DDP 140hp sticks...

He had the stock charger and as stated before wanted 90hp sticks...

They smoked too much and when they rechecked, they shipped 140hp sticks...

I gave him my 370s wich smoke way less for him and he's happy now...

So, now my question is.... is this enough fuel for me :?:

Am i correct to assume these are 5x.016 or are they smaller ?

370's are Marine injectors in most cases, and are hazey injectors.

You half to re-tune your AFC with the new injectors, they won't run the same. When I changed from Marine injectors to DDP 5x0.12 I had tore-tune the AFC, and I still have to fine tune some more. Still a little to much smoke for my liking, and it can be better on fuel, and have better spool.

More fuel doesn't mean you will have more power, unless it's adjusted properly.

they smoke more because 5x14's are much bigger than your 5x12 marines

my 5x12's are not marines, the previous ones I had were marines.

Your injectors are bigger yes, and I would re-adjust the smoke screw, and star wheel. This will cut back a lot on the smoke, and you will most likely see more performance, and better MPG's as your not burning a pile of fuel for nothing, and leaving a big black cloud behind you.

From what I've heard 5x14 are good injectors, just hard to control the smoke.

How do you like them so far?

I am considering those injectors in the near future, or the 7 hole 120 hp injectors. The 7 holes are torque monsters apparently. the 1 guy i know running them loves them, and says it's a whole new truck.

But I want something good, and proven to go with the twins in the spring.

Thanks

I have been thinking about going for 7 holes in the future, but i like them so far...

I set full travel AFC pressure to 30psi, seems okay for now...

I will be tuning the AFC some more as soon as i get the new axles fitted...

I blew the C9.25 to pieces while flat-shifting from 3rd>4th

So i think it's time for a D80 & D60 swap...

If you don't have pin gauges to check them. Regular monofilimant fishing line works great, it's pretty accurate and soft enough that it won't damage them. Just trim the end with a razor. Size varies a little brand to brand, but regular Stren is......

.012" is 10lb
.014" is 14lb
.016" is 17lb
.018" is 20lb
