so I was just helping my dad with his 98 12v and he has a cummins jacobs brake witch the part number is ( jacobs 022453) ( cummins 3933128) witch is not working and he was hitting the wires with a test light and he said he shorted them out and it shut the truck down. and now it turns on but shuts off right away the fuel shut off solenoid functions but it turns off shutting the truck down. I switched the asd relay didn't work.

K I figured it out. it blew the "engine fuse it the dash fuse block. Does anybody know anything about these Jacobs brakes it looks like a factory or at least a dealer install but it keeps blowing fuses I think either the relay is bad or there is a short somewhere

 

a relay typically works or it doesnt. they use low amperage to switch a high current device. like this brake. there could be a funky short in the relay that is causing it to blow fuzes but i doubt it.

 

Does anybody know where I can find a manual or installation directions?
