What are signs of a turbo going bad?

How do I check for that?

 

Not sure on the specs but there should be very little is any play. It should spin freely with little resistance.

You have to take the intake tube and horn off the get to it

What symptoms are you experiencing ?

 

I just noticed the difference in smoke when it went from only smoking blue after idling to smoking darker constantly. It seems to be happening after I fill up with fuel. It smoked constantly after I filled up last week then went back to just blue after idling then i filled up two days ago and it did it again seems odd. I just changed my oil and everything seemed fine. Ive never owned diesel with turbo before so dont know what to look for as far as troubleshooting. I greatly appreciate your time and knowledge
