Just got this pickup its got cat back exhaust I was wondering if the cat really hinders the performance at all I get 18 on the highway and like how it sounds just trying to decide if it's worth cutting out or not

Cool I'll get under it this weekend see what size pipe I need to cut it out and weld in a straight pipe

 

3.5" is the outlet. Use the front end of the cat for the OEM connection, unless you swap in a new down pipe.

 

Toss that sucker! Sounds better too!

 

in stock format the cat will not hinder performance or fuel economy. the VGT is adjusted based on EBP pressures and if you lower the exhaust back pressure the pcm will command the VGT to increase duty cycle to achieve EBP desired.

 

this is what no cat will get you!
