Default NEED HELP WITH VALVE SPRINGS 60#

Got a 96 5 speed. getting a bunch of work done to it. Im getting 4000 gov. springs put in. thinking about doing valve springs at the same time. I found some on XDP for $80 for 6. so $160 for all 12. Not sure if they are stock or stronger then stock. They are 60#. here is the ad. anyone know????
BD-Power 60# Valve Springs 1030060

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I got 4gsk springs already. just need valve springs that will hold 4000 and be safe doing it. wont ever go that high only at truck pulls

They are stronger than stock, stock IIRC came with 35 lbs valve springs.

Seems reasonable to me. I would ask for a quote on 60# valve springs in the Price Quote - Request A Price - Diesel Bombers section and see what our vendors can do for you. I know BD is a vendor here, hell you may even get a better deal than what is advertised on their site.

Make sure you get some good retainers with thoes springs some of the stock retainers have pulled through if you reuse them.

stock springs are actually around 50# seat pressure, 60# springs aren't actually a real good upgrade, there better then stock but but high boost and high rpm will still float them. There not 60# heavier. for a good spring check out hamiltons or a comp spring with the right installed height and spring pressures.
