Default Welding on my truck

I have a 2007 dodge 2500 with a 6.7 and when the dpf delete was done the guy used clamps and from driving on back roads the tail pipe has fallen off, now i have been told that welding on a truck with a computer is bad because i could ark and short something out. is this something i need to be worried about? any information and tips would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

99% of the time no worries but there is always that chance. clamp the ground close to where your welding. And unhook your batteries will keep that from happening
