Pull or not to pull
My 94 6.5 td has some issues. Besides the water pump being totally shot (bearings went bad), then found the fan and clutch were out of wack. i think thats what ruined my h2o pump. then my front and rear main seals are leaking as are my oil cooler and trany cooler lines... Oh yeah, when power washing my oil drenched rig, (rusty too), I ended up with a hole in my oil pan. Te question I have is 'would it make more sense to pull the motor, put er on a stand and get it all cleaned up or will pulling it just open up a big-ole can-o-worms? Oh, this motor has bout 230,000 on-er.

You may want to look at the bigger picture a 19+ year old truck in the rust belt you may pour more into the truck than just for a engine frame & body rot, brake lines and so on you may want to look for a truck from the souther startes as these see alot less salt due to less annual snow fall and probally for a few dollars more you could wind up with a better truck with fewer issues IMO
