Default Slight miss and hard start

Ok I have a 96 with only 86000 miles and what is happening is I have to give it slight throttle in order for it to start or it will just crank all day. It also runs a little rougher than it should with a weird noise from exhaust like its misfiring. Now I just noticed when I start it then shut it off I can hear air hissing out of somewhere in the general area of the fuel filter or something around there. My question is any idea where I should start to look for it and if it is leaking air will it cause my problems?

Yes air in the fuel lines can cause your issue.

Your best bet it is take it to someone that has a smoke machine and run some smoke through it to find the leak.

Something you can do yourself is just take a look around and try to locate the hissing noise, look for wet spots and damaged areas.
