Im looking at buying a hypertech programmer and heard they dont give you any problems on stage 3 with stock trans. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with one of these tuners and if it produces smoke at all.

 

I have been running hypertech for 10 years and 193000 miles. Has been a reliable unit.

 

Do you get any smoke at all on level 3?

 

there is a small amount. but havent used that setting in a while. I generally use the 2nd setting, which is about 70 hp. This is also supposed to be the fuel mileage setting. Honestly, dont think it made that much diff in the mileage. Never really calculated.
