My brother has a 10 ram and has the mini maxx with the deletes and its telling him to service exhaust system! Anyone know what would cause that??

 

Does that minni max have the programming to fool the ecu into thinking the dpf is still there? That would be my first guess is the minni max.

 

Ya it should have that. He called h and s and they said check the fuel filter so he changed it and it went away but now its back and the new filter has only been on for a week or two. What would the fuel filter have to do with the exhaust system?

 

The fuel filter really has nothing to do with the dpf, except for the doser unit that mounted to the exhaust down pipe,that injects fuel into the exhaust stream where the dpf uses it to burn the ash in the dpf catylst.

Ok well that down pipe is all gone and a new was was put in so that cant make a difference i wouldnt think. Sounds like yer prolly right, the mini maxx might be having some brain issues! thanks for your imput!
