Hey im looking at a truck this weekend to possible buy, it a 1995 Ram 2500. 5.9 12 valve, 4x4. ive heard of the death wobble and this truck has 256,000 miles on her, automatic tranny. im going to drive it but i want to crawl underneath it and look at the front end, what would be some signs of this truck getting the death wobble? would all do i need to look for underneath her. thanks!

 

Trac Bar, Ball joints, pretty much everything underthere should be relativly tight.

 

all that causes the Death wobble is that sideways shock in the front end.It is under 100 bucks here in Canada

 

There is a little more to death wobble then that.

 

Oh man, if only that was all there was to it...



Regardless, chances are it does have it and unless you're paying top dollar it shouldn't be a deal breaker. Fixing it takes a little doing, but it's fairly well documented.
