Default Gauges...

Just bought a 30PSI boost and a 1500* Pyro recently for my Mercedes. I was looking for a set of inexpensive gauges and I found some here. $132 for both gauges and a themocouple delivered!

I just received them in the mail yesterday. They are Hewitt Industries gauges. I know a couple guys with their gauges and they are happy with them. Hopefully I will have the same luck.

Hopefully I will get them installed soon. My biggest problem will be figuring out how to mount them as nobody makes a gauge pod for an 82 Mercedes.

My father in law made a mount out of plexiglass. It sits down in front of the center console. It also houses some switches and his CB. He didn't want any of the pods that are available for the gauges. He just incorporated them all in one spot. Good Luck...

I'd go down to the parts store and just pick-up one of those chrome universal mounts and be done with it. Or, I don't see why one the dash or overhead mounts wouldn't work?

How about just using an Autometer mounting cup?...Imo, they look better than the unversal mount brackets.

How about some pics when you get it mounted Tom?.

Boost from the factory should be around 10psi. The engine will hold 20psi. The T3 turbo on there becomes kind of useless above 15.

Critical pyro temps are the same as most diesels.
