Default HELP please.Cummins, Powetstroke, or....duramax?

Hey guys I'm goin into the marine corps. I leav in july and I'll be done with everything by Jan-Feb 2014. I'm looking to buy-in a diesel but not sure on what exactly I want. I will be doing a lot of driving. Probably be plowing with it, towing trailors with skid steers, mini's, maybe towing some cars or trucks. I'm looking to spend 20g. I will eventually be tryin to push 400-600hp.

I've been lookin a lot and I'm thinking maybe a 3rd gen cummins although I'm not to sure with the tranny problems and the front ends.
I like powerstrokes 6.0s have there flaws but once you fix them there nearly bulletproof. But I need something that's not going to break all the time and I no Ford's are tough but the head gaskets worry me.
Have not looked into duramax much want something heavy duty. I will probably be burning out and hooking bumpers with my buddy's and I'd love to rip them down the rd. Thanks for reading I'd appreciate your imput on what you have and common problems you may have.

Just keep the grounds clean and replace front end parts when needed that's alot of power through the front end!

All these trucks have front end issues. Work on them all.

Best of luck to you and thanks for you upcoming commitment to serve.
In my mind the USMC is the BEST and that is difficult for a Navy vet to say!
I agree with aL- to wait
God Bless and protect you
