Default S67me problems

So I got a smarty s67me and I ran it for about 15 minutes on #5 (90 Hp tune) with the rest of my truck stock and no deletes. It had plenty extra power and ran good for about 5 minutes but then the engine started surging when I was around 2300 rpm so I returned it back to stock until I get all my deletes but then it threw engine code p0601(internal memory checksum invalid) and it had a battery light on the dash. So my question is why might it have been surging, what is the codes for, and did I maybe mess anything up? And

Coorsman,

Does running the S67 ME files also mean you have to delete the cat too or just deleting the egr and dpf are OK?

On EGR delete are you a believer in rerouting the coolant "sinister kit" or just blocking it off down an dirty.

Thanks!

if your deleteing might as well delete it all to get your most out of your benefits. you can prolly get by with the cat but you dont need it and its holding you back. on the coolant i beleive to route it back into the head. so you have coolant flowing all the time. thats just what i think and what i do.

I recomend getting rid of everything that involves the egr and the dpf.. I also would route the coolant back in to the head, that is what i did also..
