Hey guys I need some help my truck is acting weird between 2nd and third 3rd the rpms race and doesn't feel like its going anywhere shifts around 2500 I was reading some stuff about tightening the bands I found the one on the side of the trans but when I turned the center screw it was really loose I went about 3 turns and stopped everywhere I read it says to tighten them to 72 pounds and back off 2 turns should I keep turning the screw till it gets tight at 72 pounds or what not sure how far it's supposed to turn befor it gets tight enough to check the pounds on it thanks guys

 

3 turns is only 1 turn past the initial setting from factory, or the last time it was adjusted. I would keep going until you get tot 72 in-lbs, then loosen the 2 turns. I also suggest removing the nut completely when you make the adjustment. This way you can put a small layer of silicone on the face of the nut so it will seal when you tighten it down.
