New member from Anchorage Alaska, I have a 1996 Dodge with 5 speed man trans that I paid $3,000 for in 2009. It is a great truck and I love the engine. First thing I did was to take off the huge cat on the exhaust. It was about 35 lbs. I putt a straight through turbine muffler on but it has a bad drone to it so I would like to get a new Corsa muffler. I put about $300 in parts for the engine and now it has about 350HP. I put a performance fuel plate in, plus restrictor valve for increased turbo boost. I removed my exhaust manifold and turbo to sandblast the rust off and port it. Then painted it with a high temp two part ceramic paint. I also cleaned up and rebuilt my turbo. That was a PITA to take apart. I retorqued all my head bolts to 150 ft lbs and also ported my stock intake. I installed a new boost, EGT, and oil press gages. KDP fixed and pump timing advanced to 14.5. It has a lot more power now and is very reliable, computers fail all the time. That's why the space shutle had three of them.
