Putco Pure 360 LED Reverse Lights
Hello, I recently bought a set of 921 LED reverse lights for my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins. Plugged them in and nothing. Plugged the factory bulbs back in, worked fine. What am I missing? Was hoping for really bright reverse light because with the factory ones I can't see crap but the LEDs won't work. Thanks for the input.
I can't find anything on the voltage of the LEDs. They are a direct replacement part for the 921 bulb. Supposedly..... I ordered them from summit, they are sending me replacements so I guess I'll have to see how that goes. Might have to go back to reg incandescent bulbs.
Also if the dont work one way try rotating it 180 degrees and see if it works... I had to do that with my united pacific l.e.d.s.. espically my reverse lights and dome lights.. and sometimes you need to play with the wire its self on the bulb.. for it work..
Called the Dodge dealer today, they said the truck isn't designed to run LEDs and they won't work at all. WTF then why does summit have them listed for my truck?

LED bulbs pull only a fraction of the wattage of a regular bulb. In fact, it is such a small amount of current that the ecm /tipm does not even "recognize" them as being there and thus does not actually turn the circuit on even though the reverse switch is engaged. Like others have posted, the correct resistor wired into the circuit fools the ecm into sensing a higher current like the regular bulb draws and thus actually turns the circuit on.
