Glock 10mm
any opinions on the G20 or G29? torn between the two. i would like the G20 and add a 5.25" barrel to hunt with but thought about the G29 for a carry gun. is the 10mm too much in a compact frame?
Really can't go wrong with a glock, although I personally prefer hammer fire over striker fire. I've only shot 10mm once but it seemed to have the same recoil of a 45. 45 ammo is also going to be easier to find (where I live anyway). So I would suggest taking a look at a G21 and G30.
thanks, i realized i posted in wrong section after the fact.
ended up with the G20sf..... definately awesome. ammo around me for the 10mm seems to be plentiful as of right now. ordered quite a bit from cabelas with leftover gift cards. should be good for a while. recoil is not bad at all, ordering a 5.25" lonewolf ported barrel soon.

10mm is an awesome round. Do some research on 10mm full power ammo. I have read that some of the ammo out there only has .40 cal powder loading. Double Tap ammo seems to be the most popular full power ammo.
in the new shooters bible they have the ballistics charts with current ammo. i ordered the winchester silver tip hollow points, they show rediculously high ballistics along with Buffalo something or other with similar ballistics in a wad cutter round
