Hey guys by spring or summer (hopefully summer) Im gonna replace my tires which are currently Kelly Safari TSR's. I liked my tires great on pavement and off road and snow. But Im dissapointed in its tread life I have 35K on them and they look like they are ready to be replaced (I drive alot on and off road). One has a boot in it because I grabbed a bolt and threw it and caught it again. I also have a friends old pair he was nice enough to burn off all the tread but at least I got two brand new tires outta the set (Peep boys special). But i was looking at these Cooper tires and I like them and I can kinda swallow the price on them, but have any of you guys ran them and can you give me your oppinion and how many miles they lasted you. or give me some suggestions on tires (Ive also ran DURATRACS and liked them but I want to get as close to 50K outta tires as possible.)

 

I know there pricey but have you thought bout dick cepek fc-II (fun country) I know some guys that have gotten 70k out of them tires pullin trailers with proper rotations

 

They are D rated tires I would rather have the E rated just preffernce I dunno if its makes any real difference. I dont just play on pavement, my ranch is on Rock Creek and just as the name implies we have alotta rocks. So I rather have the 10 ply along that the copper have aramtec with 3 ply sides.. If you think different please advise me, I dunno crap bout tires...

 

I had a buddy where I used to work that ran the Coopers on 2 trucks and loved them, I have no idea though what he got outa them for milage. I'm goin to the city on Thursday and was planning on tryin to catch up with him, if I do I'll find out for ya.I run D rated and unless you haul heavy you would be fine with D's even though some will swear you gotta run E's on these trucks.

 

Coopers are by far the best tire ive heard of and ran, i have about 8k on my set of Cooper AT/3's and they arent even showing wear. plus i only paid $826 installed onsale with lifetime balance and rotation so you couldnt beat it. But either way there a good priced tire for what you get. know plent of guys with the STT and ST Maxx that have gotten around 50k out of them or more

 

cooper discoverer s/t maxx is the way to go... i run them on my truck and they are awesome. pull, haul, mud, jump, burnout(), hell ive eve jumped my truck with these bad boys. No problems. the sidewall on these things is insane. the ups guy who dropped them off said what the hell you putting these on? haha [ """"IMO"""" ] and they last.

 

I hated mine. Maybe from the looks of the sig's of the above post it was due to mine being 35x12.50x17's. They shook the **** out of my truck. I had them rebalanced, rotated multiple times. Replaced my tie rods and ball joints hoping for relief. Finally got a new set of BFG KM2's and everything is swell. For ranching I would look at the Toyo M-55 or the Goodyear Work horseExtra grip. They last forever in the rocks.

 

IMO the longest lasting MTs are Toyo MTs they are pricey but they last.

I have some Coopers on my Ford Powerstroke and man they rock. They get pricey when you try and pick em up from the local tire dealer. I'd try online, I work with TireTeam.com and they have some good pricing if you go that route.
