I know a lot of you guys worked in the oil and gas fields like I did. Thought I would share what happened today. It completely shut Interstate 77 down til tomorrow afternoon.

That sure is an ugly situation. No human loss of life thankfully.

they interviewed a guy that was driving a u haul van. the van had a busted wind shield but was just perfect on the interstate to pass on through. if he had been 2 seconds later the blast would have got him.

This has me thinking about something I once heard. Alberta has more miles of oil/gas pipeline than paved hiways. That is a whole lot of petroleum products running under our feet!

Glad nobody lost their life. At least pipelines are the safest way to transport it. Granted there needs to be alot of the old ones replaced... Yay more work!

they need to do more internal corrosion checks that is for sure. i would say run a smart pig every couple of years to check for pits.
