i need help. i got a new torque converter installed today. now the truck shifts through the first 3 gears and if u let off the gas doing 55mph you can feel the torque converter clutch just barely trying to lock up. its a clutched feel but its like the clutch isnt strong enough. the truck is all bone stock. Do i have a bad converter??

 

Well you said you just had it put in? Im assuming you took it somewhere? Hopefully you have some kind of warranty on the converter or through the shop... either way I'd take it right back and tell them your having issues because they could have messed something up possibly not enough fluid in the converter to properly couple? Who knows. Before you go trying to figure it out yourself maybe they will fix the issue for you.
