dropped a piece of glass in garage disposal
So how do i get it out? Just unbolt it an shake it out seem logical.... but my fiance, thinks there is some proper way to get it out... like hire a plummer.... imput is valued here!
take it off and get your hand in there to get it out...what Id do, after I chewed some butt... Oh turn the breaker off for saftey last thing you want your fiance to do is turn it on while you hand in there... Anyone want Handburger???
If anything they are easy to remove. Plug the sink, fill it all the way with water, pull the plug and turn on the disposal. The glass won't hurt The blades. May make a lot of noise though.
I have done a lot of work on disposals, commercial and residential, and I have seen worse go down. Bolts, nuts, bones, silverware, string, cups - both glass and plastic, etc. Worse that happens is the disposal gets stuck and you break it free with a special tool or my favorite the crow bar.
the cost of a plumber or the cost of a disposal? Disposals are getting cheap, plumber on the other hand...
