Default From the field to the street

Has anyone ever tried a combine or cotton picker enine? I have run across two 9910 JD cotton pickers that are in great condition but are outdated but used up until last year. The farmer that had them was older and seen no need to update. His son took over this year and bought a newer, bigger machine. The older ones are not worth much and even less for cotton picking.
They both have great running inline 6 cylinder non turbo engines that best I can tell produce 114 hp and no idea the torque. Seems to me that may be ok for a 1/2 ton pickup but would need boosting for anything bigger.
Has anyone here ever tried useing one of these engines? Would if boosted make as much power as the older gm 6.2 or better?
