Yes! I am a noob but I just wanted to get some opinions..I have the smarty pod on sw#3 but want to add a little more hp...so I was thinking I could add 15-20hp by programming sw#5 and running it at 85% of the hp by lowering the power on my edge cts...will that extra 15-20hp be to much for my stock automatic tranny without towing anything???

 

You are playing with a ticking time bomb my friend! You really need to at least add a VB and TC to your tranny. I wouldn't add any more hp then you have now without supporting mods. Your tranny will shred itself very soon....

 

Thanks for your advice brother..my buddy was saying the same thing that I have the grenade tranny...I'm super new to the diesel world..is that up grade a heavier shift kit or something? And what does parts and labor run on that

 

It's not a grenade tranny! It's stock and with 2 grand in upgrades you'll be fine!

 

What exactly will I need? I was thinking about getting a full tranny rebuild that will be able to withstand the power when it comes time for that

 

Call Goerend transmissions they have the best customer service and will only give you what you need! Google them!
