I have a 1996 F-250 with a 7.3L. Currently have the TTB front end that is sagging.

Looking for opinons on switching to a straight axle. Anyone every done this? Was it bolt on?

 

look for a d60 out of a 1 ton. really any year pre superduty will work. pre 1990 or somewhere in there they used kingpins instead of ball joints. i put one out of a 96 one ton into my 94. all i had to drill for was sway bar brackets. elverything else was bot on. pretty easy swap.

 

i put one out of a 96 F350 in my 95. its a direct bolt in, took about 6 hours.

 

make sure you get the right gear ratio too.
