Hey everyone, just wanted to pass it on about the '08 rear diff cover. I'm sure many of you know about it but if you want to upgrade your 99-07 rear steel diff cover to the '08 aluminum finned cover it is a direct fit. All you need is some longer bolts. Dont quote me on the price but at the Ford Dealer its only lik $40 or so. If you have any questions let me know.

 

and it is thicker (aluminum) so you can drill & tap for fill and drain plugs!

Here you go Mr. Minded. Some places I have seen have them as low as $45 and up to $70.

 

Sounds good but has anyone put a temp sensor or IR'd it to see if it really lowers rear end temps in the real world? If so, what were the results?

Not that I know of. We just take for granted that it is and most of us do it for looks.
