i have a 97 f250 4x4 with a zf6 6 spd transmision out of 99 or 00 f350 and new process 271 transfer case manual warn lock outs

in 2wd i feel vibration coming from what seems to be under the back seat but carrier bearing is new and driveshaft has been recently shortened and re balanced

in 4wd high or low range the front wheels pull some then the front end on passenger side pops and it seems like the front wheels quit pulling then they pull again then pops again ect
in other words pull some pop pull some pop

pop represents a dead point in front wheel traction

 

Are your hubs locking? Have they been replaced or rebuilt to your knowledge check and make sure the fluids are full.

im not sure if they have been replaced or rebuilt but i do know that three weeks ago the truck was an auto and the 4x4 worked fine i just put a 6sp in it and now it keeps poping and the front diff feels like its slipping when it pops

what do you mean by "right set up" all i knew to do was buy the trans and bolt it all in maybe i did something wrong?

i bought the transfer out of the same truck as the tranny it was a package deal

yes the popping noise is coming from the front passenger side it seems like

 

Sounds like the hubs bad maybe.is take that hub out and make sure it locks and unlocks freely. Were the hubs locked when you tried to put it in 4x4?
